Senior executive staff in the County Executive's office responsible for business development policies and regulations. I manage the Montgomery Business Portal and one of two senior government officers in the County Executive’s Business Solutions Group. I convene quarterly business resource partner meeting with the County’s business technical assistance organizations to discuss training, workshops, and other related governance matters impacting businesses in Montgomery County, the State of Maryland, and the Washington DC region. I work closely with the Assistant Chief Administrative Officer for Economic and Workforce Development, and work in tandem with the County departments and agencies, the County funded economic and workforce development organizations, as well as business, academic and community partners.

Staff Liaison for the County Executive’s African Affairs Advisory Group and Caribbean American Advisory Group. Work on behalf of the County to ensure ongoing partnership between the County and community groups for the purpose of obtaining information about issues, concerns, and opportunities. I conduct community meetings to discuss needs and problems involving access to government services. Confer with community leaders and appropriate community organizations for the purpose of assisting in evaluation of community needs and making appropriate referrals. Coordinate with community leaders and organizations for the purpose of building resources and expanding community capabilities and maintain a database of community members, groups, and nonprofits contacts and volunteers for the purpose of documenting and providing reliable information. Recruit community volunteers for the purpose of assisting committees with the Advisory Groups and becoming members to County Boards, Committees, and Commissions and participate on a variety of committees/boards.

Served as an Assistant Vice President for Bank of America in the Washington DC metropolitan area. I was responsible for business development and affinity groups to bring about social change while increasing community relations and improving the quality of life through entrepreneurship. Worked with community leaders, business individuals, and civic associations to identify needs, opportunities, banking regulations and lending responsibilities; help setup community financial plans based on what they want to achieve and suggest appropriate plans to assist customers in meeting their goals. Organized meetings community stakeholders to share best practices, product updates, and product training on their individual affinity product and then submitted weekly event results organized by affinity groups.
